Designed for use with the stock 4WD 31-spline output shaft, this adapter measures 7.40 inches in length and is constructed from durable 356 T-6 heat-treated aluminum alloy. It also features a provision to retain the original Early Bronco transmission mount. This adapter kit fits all 1966–77 Bronco Dana 20 transfer cases and requires a T-style transfer case shifter linkage for proper operation. The AOD transmission is a popular upgrade thanks to its excellent gearing for both trail and highway driving. Because the AOD is longer than the stock V8 transmission, crossmember relocation and modification are required.
