ICON engineers’ primary focus is to increase wheel travel and damping ability, which translates into outstanding vehicle control and ride quality both on- and off-road. The ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2025-2026 Toyota 4Runner Stage 1 3.0 CDXS suspension system is an excellent choice for those drivers looking to enhance the capabilities of their vehicle with maximum shock damping and dual speed compression damping adjustability while utilizing only the required components for full system functionality. This allows other components such as rear upper and lower links and rear track bar to be added separately from the core system. The Stage 1 3.0 system includes vehicle-specific tuned 3.0 Series coilover shocks featuring CDXS equipped remote reservoirs for exceptional cooling properties and ICON-engineered coil springs for superior vehicle “feel” through the range of travel. These coilovers are height adjustable from 2.25-3” of front lift height over stock, allowing the use of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. 3.0 Series shocks boast 50% more piston surface area in the ride zone of the shock's travel, and 100% in the “Bump Zone”, compared to 2.5 Series shocks. This translates into increased stability and vehicle control at the extremes of off-road use, with benefits also making themselves apparent in on-road driving conditions. The multi-stage hydraulic Bump Zone featured in these 3.0 Series coilovers exponentially increases bottom-out resistance as the shock travels through the last 40% of travel, keeping vehicle dynamics in check during those hard hits or unexpected obstacles. Remote reservoirs greatly increase shock oil volume and heat dissipation surface area to resist overheating and cavitation under hard use, which can lead to damper fade.
