Sizes The K9 systems for the Toyota 80 Series Land Cruiser (Lexus LX450) come in 1400mm (55") width, and 5 different lengths. Far and away the most popular model is the 2.2M (87") long rack that starts a few inches behind the windshield and finishes an inch in front of the rear hatch. This rack maximizes your roof top capacity. This is the gutter mount rack pioneered by our friends at Expedition 7 in their around the globe adventure. They have taken these racks, and all the gear they can fit on them, all over the world, making it the first roof rack system to visit all seven continents on the planet. The 1.6M (62") version is a great choice if you want to maintain the use of your sunroof. It starts just behind the sunroof and finishes an inch in front of the rear hatch. Heights The 80 Series Land Cruiser rack utilizes gutter mount legs to attach the K9 Platform to the roof. Our standard 150mm height rack measures 7-3/8" high , from top of the gutter above the second row doors. Our tall/table 210mm height rack measures 9-3/4" high, from the top of the gutter above the second row doors. It allows enough room for options, such as our K9 table and mount, on the bottom of the platform. Capacity Capacity of the K9 roof rack system is broken into two measurements, static weight and dynamic weight. Static is when the vehicle is stationary. Dynamic is when the vehicle is in motion. We have not tested the K9 racks on vehicles to the point of roof failure. We can tell you what we have tested ourselves effectively. A dynamic capacity in the range of 500 pounds is possible.
