Should you happen to get your Jeep stuck (we know, it's unthinkable!), you are going to need a solid mounting point on the front of your vehicle to attach the recovery gear. These mounting points are no joke; weak recovery points are very dangerous! Rusty's Tow Hook Kit for the XJ Cherokee provides an easy way to add safe and solid anchor points to the front of your vehicle. It starts with mounting brackets constructed of 1/4" thick steel that has been oiled and pickled for superior strength. The brackets mount to several factory holes, which spreads the load over a larger area and prevents damage to the unibody. It's completely bolt-on; no drilling or trimming is required! Even with 1/4" steel and grade 8 hardware it is possible to bend our tow hook mounts IF used incorrectly. We strongly recommend reading the operating instructions for your winch prior to using our tow hooks.
