Savvy Offroad Legacy 6061-T651 Aluminum Rear Bumper | 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK / JKU Installation note upfront: The Savvy Legacy JK/JKU rear bumper requires cutting out the stock rear crossmember and welding in the included new 3/16" steel crossmember. This is the modification that enables the extreme clearance geometry and it is worth knowing before you order rather than mid-install. Full instructions are included. If you are not comfortable with this modification, a local fabrication shop can complete it in a single session. Built from 3/16" 6061 aluminum the heat-treated, precipitation-hardened structural alloy with approximately 35% higher tensile strength and nearly double the yield strength of 5052 aluminum CNC laser-cut, bent, and TIG-welded in the USA using updated Jeep JK CAD models.
